Elastomeric materials to create a library of 3D printed lattice foams
Published on April 14, 2020
Dan Recht & Jessie Bergau, Formlabs
Lattice structures from elastomeric materials manufactured with 3D printing technologies can have properties that mimic the behavior of traditional foams. In addition, their properties can be tuned or even vary throughout a product, enabling customization.
In this webinar, engineers of Formlabs show you how to use nTop to develop lattice structures for 3D printed foam replacements. The result is a library that connects lattice parameters to equivalent material properties that you can use to develop new products.
Watch and learn how to:
- Select the right elastomeric SLA resin for 3D printed foams
- Design lattice structure samples for testing
- Apply the lattice foam with the desired properties to a product
