Applications
Key Software Capabilities
- Simulation
- Field Optimization
With additive manufacturing, we can create heat sinks for LED lighting that are more efficient and have better aesthetics than traditional designs. Using simulation software, we can quickly validate the performance of our design and refine or improve its geometry accordingly.
In this nTop Live, Alec Guay, Application Engineer at nTop, shows you how to perform a thermal analysis on a 3D printed heat sink. He also uses the simulation results to influence future design iterations to increase heat dissipation. Follow the link to watch part1 of the series.
Watch and learn how to:
- Set up and run a basic thermal analysis in nTop
- Create a field from the point map sim results to influence future geometry
- Apply nTop’s simulation tools to analyze designs & iterate faster
